BioMy name is Nicholas Young and I'm a 17 year old computing enthusiast from Brisbane, Australia. I currently spend my days studying at the University of Queensland, St Lucia campus, where I hope to obtain a Bachelor of Engineering (Software).
Although I'm still a student, I have a lot of experience in software development and programming in a variety of different languages and settings. A large amount of my experience is in web technologies, such as (X)HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. I spend some of my spare time improving and maintaining the software (a PHP/MySQL monster) which powers the fanfiction archive at harrypotterfanfiction.com.
I also have experience programming non-web software in languages such as C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, Visual Basic.Net, Java and Python.
This journal is here to share stuff about me, and no doubt various computing/programming tutorials which I cook up. My computing skills are mostly gained from experience, practice and trying new things out, so I'll try and post something interesting when I've learnt something new.
